Books and papers by friends.
Spacetime Physics is perhaps the best book ever written explaining Special Relativity. I think Edwin told us his new edition of the book goes more into the idea of "proper" time.
If it is anything like the first edition it should be excellent.
We have links to other papers or books by Marshall Barnes on our Time.University website. Marshal does not seem to be a fan of some of Stephen Hawking's ideas.

This paper suggests we are in a participatory universe rather than a simulation. Our editor Graham Partis has explored the idea that we may be in a participatory simulation and what this might imply about our world if it is true. Marshall in this document may be suggesting we may be in a non-virtual real participatory world.

Whether real or virtual, a participatory world may be one where ideas may be at cross purposes or desires can clash. A world with more than one person deciding events leads to competition, cooperation and social influence.

The idea of a participatory universe is one we find very interesting. I.e. the idea that we have influence in our world or we all make the universe together rather than some single individual holding all the strings can be empowering.

Marshall often has interesting ideas. It will be interesting to read what he has to say about the topic.
These are more book or papers by friends of ours.
There are more we will need to link.
Stay tuned for even more.
